Product – It is fair to say that not many brands can truly call their product unique anymore. Where one is created, a similar one is born. The internet exposes products worldwide and gives consumers a prominence of choice. Which brings us onto the next factor – price.

Facebook provide golden opportunity

facebookAs a British sports fan , I am naturally excited about the much-anticipated London 2012 Olympics. Not only will the games offer sporting talents from around the world, but the event has obviously created millions of business opportunities.

Sport England, a government organisation responsible for producing our current and future home grown sporting talent, have just signed up for a four-year deal with Facebook worth £20 million.

Twitter to consider advertising option

twitterSocial networking phenomenon Twitter has hinted that advertising on their site could be a realistic addition. With 45 million users ‘tweeting’ their way around the site in order to promote their services, advertisement would act as an attractive proposal to generate extra revenue.

Twitter is an increasingly demanded service, being ranked the UK’s 27th most visited website at the end of last month. More businesses and employees are using the site for means of extending their contact base and create extra exposure for their own services.

Setting up a profile is free and easy, immediately opening the door to an endless market of consumers and fellow competitors. Promoting yourself through ‘tweets’, you can construct links taking your followers directly to your work and website.
